Established in 1985.
Torii restaurant is a family own business and is located in Modesto. Our goal to our costumers is to create a fun environment were all ages are welcomed. The owner of torri's Mei has been the owner for more then 20 years. We offer a full bar, sushi bar , and karaoke at our restaurant. Moreover we also offer teppanyaki food ,(food cooked in front of you) untill 10 pm every night. Karaoke starts at 7pm all ages are welcome until 10 pm.

Owner

Mei Kovacs was born in Taiwan ,and immigrated to CA when when was at the age of 16. She went to mjc and took classes in accounting , and also went to beauty school. She now owns Torii restaurant that was established in 1985. She has created many friends while owning the restraunt for over 25 years. Mei K.

  What a fun spot! This unassuming place has a down to earth quality about every aspect of it. Enter the door and prepare to be greeted by two energetic ladies making custom sandwiches in a flash. All the choices have a person's name. Orders to go are written on a paper bag, those eating in write it on an index card. Everything is assembled fresh before your eyes and they will build a sandwich to your specifications. Walk outside and in another door to select drinks and dessert.

  A must try burger especially if you are from out of state. This is California's pride and is rated as one of the best burger in the state.

  This restaurant was just delightful, with great, authentic dishes. I loved the lamb shank and the only thing better than the food was the outstanding and friendly service. I will be taking my family here at the first opportunity.
